so you're looking for a wedding photographer

I'm Kay, living just outside Glasgow in town called Motherwell, single mum with a beautiful daughter who is 4, bunch of squirrels and some pigeons. I love being outdoors and active, as much as I love firing up a comedy or zombie movie on Netflix and ordering pizza.

So why do I do photography? The simple short answer is I absolutely friggen love it! Imaging hanging out with two people on the happiest day of their life. It’s honestly the most fun and rewarding job ever.

Each image brings us back to that second over and over again, to feel that squeeze, to see your partner’s expression when they first lay eyes on you, to see the joy on all your family and friends’ faces as you share your first dance.

I believe in experiences over things!

And weddings come under that definition! I do this job because I love it. I love getting to hang about with people on one of the best days of their lives, meeting new people, going to new places. I love how each wedding has different wee quirks and personality. When I’m not having a banter with my couples on their wedding day, you’ll find me doing something outdoorsy, whether it’s bouldering, kayaking or just going on walks.

How do I manage the client journey from booking to the wedding day?

From the moment a couple books with me, my goal is to ensure a seamless and enjoyable journey towards their wedding day. I start with an in-depth consultation to understand their vision and preferences, followed by a structured planning process that includes regular check-ins, detailed timelines, and constant communication. I make sure I am available as much as possible by offering off-clock contact number so if they have any questions in the middle of the night (which would worry them), I am only a text or an email away. On the wedding day, my team and I are on-site to coordinate every aspect, from getting ready, to helping with any eleventh hour chaos, to mingle around with the couple and their guests, allowing the couple to fully immerse themselves in their special day without any stress. After the wedding, I continue to support them by providing constant update ensuring that their entire experience is memorable and positive while contiuing maintaining a healthy relationship with them.

Frequently asked questions

What Is Your Company ethos?

My company ethos as a wedding photographer is built around three core principles: Authenticity, Client-Centered Service, and Creativity. These values guide every aspect of my work, from initial consultations to the final delivery of the wedding images.

What makes you different from your competitors?

What sets me apart from other wedding vendors is my commitment to creating truly personalized and comfortable experiences. Every wedding I plan is a unique reflection of the couple's love story. For example, I recently photographed a couple who were fun loving and loved adventures. Their wedding took place in The Cruine, Loch Lomond. So me and the couple decided to head out for a shoot right in the middle of the rain, on a long wooden pier/dock which was very shaky and took some nice romantic shoots. The result was a beautiful, cohesive theme that was both personal and memorable. Additionally, I pride myself on my attention to detail and exceptional customer service. My clients often comment on how stress-free and enjoyable the process is with me, thanks to my hands-on approach and constant communication along with friendly nature to keep everyone calm on their big day!
